A Skirmisher community?
« on: April 30, 2009, 19:59:38 »
Hi Arparso,

Just a thought, but would it be possible to create a new section on your site where the folks who create missions via your Skirmisher can upload their creations?

Although it's not really anything to do with your proposed we-write, but if folks knew of a place where they could get new content for Nexus (and maybe a little fame  :)  ), I daresay it'd strengthen the Skirmisher's fan base and probably that of Nexus:TJI itself.
Better to look the fool by asking, then prove them right with ignorance.

Certainly possible, though it'll be tough coordinating things like mod versions and, more importantly, mission number conflicts. There is no automated way to resolve these right now, so a simple download of the mission files won't be enough to avoid getting conflicts.

I'm currently thinking about creating a Nexus Wiki to gather a lot of useful info about Nexus, its mods and to create some sorts of Nexus modder's resource. I'd need some contributors, though...

that's one hell of an idea, but unfortunately my web design skills are rather... non-existent, so I won't be of much help...

I tend to scour the web on a regular basis looking for anything to do with Nexus and get a copy of it (God that makes me sound like a mad,sad obsesive! :D ).

I'd gladly add that and whatever I figure out along the way to a 'Nexus Wiki' .

Web design skills shouldn't be necessary.

You'd just need to write some entries for the Wiki to fill it with content and since you're able to write in a message board, you should be good to go with a Wiki. ;)
