Hi Wadimich,

Problems to do with parenting generally mean that a layer or more haven't been set up right. Without seeing the actual model all I can suggest is placing the model in a single layer (as long as there are no animations or LOD).

If you don't mind posting it online or sending a copy to me at draconicdreams@hotmail.co.uk, I can take a look for you.

I just have only model and textures, and i don't know, how to make model see my textures and how to set hardpoints.
Also i need tutorials or something about Lightwave (didn't found on youtube, that can help me).

Hi Wadimich,

I'll start looking at your files and let you know what I find; in the meantime, do a google search for "Kurv Studios - Project Viper". It's a fantastic set of tutorial vids that'll take you from the very beginning of a model through to the final finishing touches to make your models look great.

Edit...

Can you post the pre-converted files (.lwo and which ever format you used to make the texture file in)? We can see some errors in the converted model that need to be sorted, but the only error messages I get concern the lack of textures and hardpoints (both of these need to be looked at in lightwave).

I don't need (yet) make models, i'm just converting them from another game (EVE Online). I can bring to you models and textures in any stage of converting.
Is it possible to use different extension? Like .lwo but another.

I can try to answer questions, give tips as such and try to solve problems you're encountering; but I don't think I'll have the time to process and convert your models, I'm afraid.

The models can be made in whichever format is the more comfortable for you, just bear in mind that it does need to be converted into a .lwo (or .lws for animated models) at some point in order for it to be used in Nexus.

Getting back to your punisher model though, the reason that it currently has no texture in it's 'converted' form (.msh) is because there isn't a UV map associated with the model; unfortunately, it's going to take a fair bit of time and effort to make one. Also, I think the model will need some additional work to fix some of the poly's that didn't convert correctly.

Is it possible, to make UV map, using my textures, or bmp image of unwrapped UV map? I really don't know, how to make this kind of UV map, and can't do it some other way, because i don't have alternative textures, they are already in UV map format.
I won't ask you to make for me, just give me some tips and tricks.

Later, i found, that i can run 3ds model in Lightwave. I used 3ds UV map, and saved in .lwo . But i can't see that model in a Model viewer or convert (it's converting with 221 bytes size).

Also, i noticed, that i can not open up my model with some UV Map, it just not opening (viewer shuts down with an error like in http://arparso.de/nexus/forum/index.php/topic,280.0.html this topic), and then i'm trying to export it in Lightwave 5.x format, it removes any UV maps, that was there (even if they were created by LW). I'm using Lightwave 10.1 is it normal? Or i should use newer or older version?
