Hi there. I'm a dedicated fan of nexus and I personally love the heck out of this game, and I just played through it yet again. I'm sure no one will mind my following question, so here goes: To all the hardcore fans out there, how many times have you played through the single player campaign? I think I'm personally around at least 30 playthroughs, but it is more likely around 50 or so. It's not like I keep track  8)

Anyways, hello people of Nexus!

To be honest, I never played through the campaign even once... :-[

... because I had way more fun modding the hell out of the game instead :D 8)

Oh, believe me, I do love modding the game too. I really wish they had made a skirmish mode because it would make testing the limits of all the ships much easier. For example, I just tested six custom Human heavy destroyers against six episode six Gorg battleships and I won with no casualties. :)
I had wanted to make a campaign, but I'm kind of stuck in making the storyline part because I don't know how to make .ogg files... I'm sure something about it is somewhere on here though...

ogg are sound files, like mp3 and the like. All you need is a converter and you're done

Well, I suppose I could just convert to .ogg from an .mp3 or something else like you said, but I'd still have to actually make the sound files in the first place (namely voices) and I'm really not sure how to do that.

I suggest you leave sound effects to the last part of the development of your game, since the scripts can and will vary from time to time, and you'll probably have to re-do some of them, or get stuck with ones you've made in the past.
In the meantime, music and sound effects can be easily replaced by placeholders.

P.D: OGG files are solely used for music tracks, for misc sound files, such as dialogs, weapons, engines, etc, mono wav is used.

Huh. I was just replaying through the single player campaign to gauge the relative effectiveness of bashing shield and hull versus tactical weapons (bashing wins even when outnumbered, btw) and I came across an interesting glitch: if you can manage to destroy all three of the Vardrag ships in the mission 'Alpha Gate' by disabling their shields with tactical weapons, then killing all three ships before they can warp off you will not be able to finish the rest of the campaign because the next mission cannot be beaten. Just food for thought.

There are several circumstances in missions which break the game like that.
Another one is in the Earth return mission (second episode), destroying all attacking Earth vessels + Whisker before they manage to missile the relay station.
